Making dogs more adoptable!
Each year 4 million healthy animals are killed in shelters. Dogs are turned into shelters for various reasons some are as simple as housebreaking issues, others may be a bit more complex such as aggression. Whatever the reason every dog has the ability to be trained and rehabilitated. Most of the dogs turned into shelters are due to lack of education by owners on how dogs think, learn and how to communicate with their dogs. We believe that every dog deserves a second chance and one our main goals is to make changes in the shelter system.
Allied Dog Training is partnering up with many rescue groups and shelters in order to help make their dogs more adoptable. We offer a low cost board and train program for shelter dogs where we do a full behavioral analysis, train and rehabilitate the dogs in order to make them more adoptable. Once the dog has completed their training and rehabilitation process we work with the rescue group to match each dog with the right new owner. All new owners will receive free handling lessons from us and support.
We can also help your shelter or rescue group set up systems on how to make dogs more adoptable. We can help educate your staff, volunteers, fosters about dog culture, how dogs learn and how to communicate to dogs. We can also help you learn how to assess a dog, set up a training plan for each dog and work to make them more adoptable.
